Ahead of his hometown appearance, Philadelphia born Mega Ran has served the rap world that 2019 is the year he claims the respect he deserves. To demonstrate, he channeled his inner “Hitman” by paying tribute to Bret “The Hitman” Hart with his new video “Heel Turn” (Bret’s Lament).

Mega Ran is currently on tour with The Microphone Misfits and will be at Keystone Comic Con TODAY, September 14th, 2018.

PRESS RELEASE:

Wrestle Rap’s Reigning Champ Turns Heel In Homage To The Hitman With New Video

New York City, New York, 9/13/2018- While there is only one Excellence of Execution, Philadelphia born rapper Mega Ran still knows what it’s like to be “the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be,” and still not get the respect he deserves. It was with that in mind that the former teacher and wrestling fanatic decided to pay tribute to Bret “The Hitman” Hart with his new video “Heel Turn” (Bret’s Lament).

With only a few days left before his Keystone Comic-Con Philly homecoming Mega Ran is serving notice to the rap world that 2019 is the year that he claims the respect he rightfully deserves from mainstream hip-hop. Mega Ran is single handedly responsible for bringing legitimacy to the nerdcore subgenre of rap just like Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s relentless work ethic brought legitimacy back to steroid ravaged WWF.

“This year has been so busy with tours, awards and releases, but even with all of my accomplishments  I realized I still feel overlooked by an important part of the hip-hop community. I hadn’t been feeling respected by my peers. So I’m putting some new tunes out as part of my heel turn just like Bret did, and I’m gonna get to bring my love of pro wrestling into concert spaces like never before. It will be one for the books.” – Mega Ran
