The Flash has settled into a post-Crisis world, but that doesn’t mean things are on the up and up in Central City. If anything, things are as crazy as ever; even on Valentin’s Day in Love is a Battelfield.
Last week’s episode of The Flash was a great return after the mega Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. One of the things I always liked, at the end of a crossover, the moments that Barry and Oliver shared, and since we were unable to get that for Crisis, having guest star John Diggle (David Ramsey) go on a mission with Barry was fitting. The events leading up to Crisis have been a major storyline for The Flash this year, and it seems like while things have mostly settled down, the effects will still be explored. However, after the snatch and grab ending of Marathon last week, Love is a Battlefield has some explaining to do. The official synopsis from the CW:
Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) plan a romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day but their evening is interrupted by an old foe—Amunet (Katee Sackoff); Frost (Danielle Panabaker) gets into the holiday spirit and attempts to help Allegra (Kayla Compton) reconnect with an old love.
The synopsis of this episode makes it seem like we’re getting a standard episode of The Flash, and while it hits the points I need to tune in as a viewer, it doesn’t address last week’s ending. The trailer gives us another look:
The Flash Knows Best
Something I’ve noticed as I pay attention to these trailer’s for The Flash more is that they like to set up an episode as something of a thriller. This trailer has the same tone as last week’s, however that episode was filled with so much love. However, in Love is a Battlefield, we know Iris is acting different and chances are the end of last week’s episode has a lot to do with that. It’s very exciting to see Katee Sackoff return and it’ll be interesting to see how characters outside the main “teams” on each show are affected by the events of Crisis. Details on where and when to watch the Love is a Battlefield are below:

What do you think happened to Iris after the end of last week’s episode? Is this really her or a doppelganger of some sort? What role will Amunet play? Let us know in the comments!
